Virginia Centurione Bracelli

Saint Virginia Centurione Bracelli was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1587. After being widowed at a young age, she dedicated her life to the care of the poor, the sick, and abandoned children. She founded the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Refuge on Mount Calvary.

Her life exemplifies profound charity and unwavering trust in Divine Providence. Despite personal sorrow, she channeled her energy into serving the most vulnerable, demonstrating how faith can inspire practical and transformative love for others.
