Egwin

Saint Egwin was an Anglo-Saxon bishop of Worcester in the late 7th and early 8th centuries. He is known for founding Evesham Abbey, one of the most important monastic institutions in medieval England, after a vision of the Virgin Mary.

His example reminds us of the importance of spiritual devotion and the lasting impact of founding institutions dedicated to God. He persevered through challenges to establish a place of prayer and learning.

Saint Egwin, inspire us to build up the Church and to dedicate our efforts to God's glory. Help us to respond faithfully to divine inspirations.
