Saint David was a sixth-century monk and bishop in Wales, where he founded monasteries known for their simplicity, prayer, and hard work, including the great community at Menevia, now the city of St Davids. He is honored as the patron saint of Wales, and his final words to his community are remembered as: 'Be joyful, keep the faith, and do the little things that you have heard and seen me do.'

Saint David teaches that holiness is not built on grand gestures but on faithfulness in small, everyday acts of love. His call to 'do the little things' reminds us that gentle kindness, quiet prayer, and steady devotion are enough to draw close to God.

Saint David, teach us to be joyful, to keep the faith, and to do the little things with great love. Pray for us and for all those we hold in our hearts. Amen.
