Timothy and Titus were beloved companions and co-workers of Saint Paul in the first century, entrusted by him with shepherding the young churches of Ephesus and Crete. The two letters to Timothy and the letter to Titus in the New Testament are addressed to them, offering guidance for faithful pastoral leadership. The Church honors them together on the day after the feast of Saint Paul's conversion.
Timothy and Titus show us the beauty of faith handed down and faithfully carried on — Timothy first learned the faith from his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice. They remind us that love for God grows strongest in families and friendships, passed gently from one heart to another, and that even the young can lead others to Christ.
