Ben & Saint Carlo Acutis
Two faithful teenagers of the digital age. Each called home at just fifteen. Both by acute myeloid leukemia. We believe they walk together now.
Saint Carlo Acutis
A boy from Milan who loved computers and the Eucharist above all. He taught himself to code, and built a website cataloguing Eucharistic miracles around the world so that others might believe. He died of leukemia at fifteen, and in 2025 became the first millennial declared a saint.
Benjamin Vo
A boy who, in his own words, was “just doing computers.” He built games, apps, aviation galleries, and a whole imagined airline to bridge the two halves of his world. He was still creating six weeks before he died of the same illness, at the same age.
The same road home
It is hard not to see the hand of God in it. Carlo and Ben never met on this earth — one grew up in Milan in the 1990s, the other in California in the 2020s. And yet their lives rhyme almost impossibly: two boys who found God and found computers in the same breath, who poured their gifts into building things for others, and who were carried home by the same rare cancer at the same tender age of fifteen.
Carlo once said the Eucharist was his “highway to Heaven.” He is now a saint the whole Church can ask for help — and there is a particular tenderness in asking a boy who knew exactly what Ben suffered, exactly at Ben's age, to walk beside him.
Our hope
We do not claim to know the mind of Heaven. But we believe Ben is safe with God now — a young soul among the young saints — and if he has a friend up there who understands, who was fifteen and loved to build and knew this same hard road, we cannot think of a better one than Carlo.
So we ask St. Carlo Acutis to pray for Ben, and for every family that has walked where ours has walked. And we ask Ben, gently, to keep doing what he always did — to keep building, now in a better place, and to pray for us.
